Hope you had a great end to 2016! We just wanted to touch base, and let everyone know that we are full swing into writing for our next release. We already have a couple of songs fully written, and are excited by what we are hearing so far! This will be our first batch of songs with our new guitar player Chris Williams, and everything is moving a long smoothly in our creative world. We hope to have some new material released this year! In the meantime, we also have a weekly podcast called "The Rock Savages Podcast". We will be interviewing national touring acts and local bands in the weeks and months to come, so be sure to subscribe on iTunes, and help support the great musicians out there making it happen! You can also follow the podcast at www.rocksavagepod.com
Furthermore, we will be announcing our first live dates of 2017 within the next couple of weeks! We are working on some cool line ups with our Ohio shows, and are looking forward to traveling out to Maryland and playing some killer gigs as well. Follow us on all of our social media accounts for additional news and content throughout the year, and be sure to tell a friend! 2017 will be the year of rock! See everyone real soon! Cheers!
On The Rock Savages Podcast Episode 5... Dan Daugherty is the Lead Singer in the Akron Ohio Heavy Metal Band "Erasing Never. They are fresh off of their performance on the annual Ohio music festival "Ink In The Clink". Their latest single "The Inbetween" featuring Waylon Reavis is available now on Amazon and iTunes, as well as their 2015 full length album "Life After". Check them out on the live music circuit in Ohio and beyond.
Friends, fans, and fellow bands -please share this update! We need your help to push this message into the stratosphere! This music will not be on mainstream radio or TV, but that doesn't matter! With your help we can share it with the world! On MAY 13, 2016 we will release our new EP of all new material entitled “GODZIMOTH” digitally through iTunes, Amazon, and CDBABY! Here is the album artwork, created by Dave Wilson at Downpour Creative!
This is our first release with the mighty Jeff Fahl on lead vocals. We worked hard on this music over the last couple of years to bring you a slab of loud and killer rock music, with some surprises in between! Included with this message is our new official video for the title track GODZIMOTH! You can get this song now for free, for a limited time, and before the official release date when you sign our mailing list!
We are excited to finally be able to anticipate a release date for our new music! More info will be coming in the following days and weeks leading up to MAY 13, 2016! Stay tuned!
A bit of a new way of doing things on this record. For Burn Blue Sky though, lots has changed since Celebrate the Decline, so its not unexpected. Stone has made the move to Maryland. Like for real... He's not coming back. So we had to find a new way to rehearse. And write. And record... And do shows! We've managed to pull it off pretty well I think. And I hope you will to! This new album is, in my opinion, my favorite Burn Blue Sky effort so far. Godzimoth. Have you heard the title track yet? We squeezed it in a live set or two late last year.
Artwork? ...David Wilson from Downpour Creative is taking the helm here. Our first time bringing in outside help for the artwork (and the new Godzimoth video! Stay tuned!) and we couldn't be happier. Sneak peek?
To all of our friends, fans, awesome venue owners and fellow bands-Happy New Year! Judging by the look of it, 2016 is looking to be a killer year for great rock and metal! And we couldn't be happier to tell you that soon we will have a new EP of all new Burn Blue Sky songs to share with everyone! It is coming! More details on that will be shared soon!
CD Release. What does it mean? It means that a band feels passionate enough about what they're doing and has enough balls to put their money where their mouth is and to invest themselves in a tribute to their permanence. It also means that band believes themselves worthy of the tribute of others.
Last Friday, Burn Blue Sky rocked the fucking house at the Outpost, here in Kent, with our friends Drunkin Funk and The Ravenna Arsenal. It was a goddamn pleasure and an honor to do so.
